Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said his party has scored a landslide victory in the Uttar Pradesh civic polls, reflecting the growing demand for a transformative and progressive government in the state.
Kejriwal met the winning AAP candidates and appreciated their commitment to serving the common man. He expressed confidence in their ability to conscientiously work for the welfare of the people. He said that AAP will participate in the next assembly elections with full strength.
“UP is considered BJP's home ground but despite this challenge, you all managed to defeat BJP and SP candidates in your seat and win the election. AAP is trying to change the narrative of politics across the country. If you look at the Karnataka election results, the entire political manifesto of the Congress party is nothing but a copy of our manifesto. Now even the BJP has started making similar promises,” he said.
“It is through your work that AAP will further penetrate the state. You all need to take more responsibility,” he said.
