Abhaya's samples destroyed under

An explosive revelation has surfaced in the RG Kar Medical College case after a forensic officer alleged that crucial viscera samples of the victim, "Abhaya," were intentionally destroyed and altered inside the state forensic laboratory. The officer sent a formal letter to the victim's father detailing the inner workings of the alleged cover-up, claiming that three high-ranking officials within the state forensic department executed the operation. The letter further levels serious allegations against former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, asserting that the systemic destruction of the core evidence was carried out under her direct orders before the manipulated samples were dispatched to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory.

The targeted viscera samples—which included critical extractions from the victim's liver, kidney, and stomach—were originally collected to definitively verify whether the young postgraduate doctor had been poisoned or administered sleeping pills before the assault. The forensic whistleblower's letter also notes that this was not an isolated incident, alleging a broader pattern where viscera samples belonging to deceased opposition BJP and CPM political workers were similarly tampered with at the state facility. This development has deeply shaken the victim's family, who have consistently maintained that a larger network of influential individuals was involved in the tragedy beyond the single individual arrested.

In response to these claims, the victim's parents are preparing to formally submit the whistleblower's letter before the judge of the Sealdah Court. They are requesting an immediate, legally binding directive to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to authenticate the letter and aggressively investigate the fresh evidence tampering allegations. This legal development follows a major shift in West Bengal's political landscape, where newly appointed Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari ordered the official reopening of the RG Kar case files to review the investigation following the initial conviction and life imprisonment sentence handed down to civic volunteer Sanjay Roy.
