Abhijeet Dipke takes break from Jantar-Mantar protest, cites health issues

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke announced a temporary break from the ongoing demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Thursday, July 23, due to health issues. In a public message on social media platform X, Dipke revealed that he had been suffering from fever and severe body pain for several days. Despite his declining health, he had continued leading the protest site activities by taking painkillers before briefly stepping back to rest.

Dipke issued an apology to his supporters for his temporary absence during the day, explaining that he required a few hours of rest to recover. However, the key organizer assured demonstrators that his absence would be short-lived and pledged to return to the protest location by Thursday evening. His announcement comes during a critical juncture for the movement following recent escalations in New Delhi.

The ongoing agitation, led by activist Sonam Wangchuk and the CJP, revolves around demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged NEET paper leak controversies. Protests have intensified following the 'Sansad Chalo' march on July 20, which resulted in clashes between demonstrators and Delhi Police. Despite heavy security deployments, police actions, and Parliamentary disruptions, the movement continues to draw significant support from opposition parties and student organizations.
