Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Monday said that India should not engage in talks with Pakistan under any condition and that any dialogue must happen only on the battlefield. “Bharat ko Pakistan ke saath kisi bhi haalat mein baat nahi karni chahiye… baat sirf war field mein honi chahiye,” he said. He was speaking at the airport before departing for Delhi.
Referring to the recent militant attack in Pahalgam, Banerjee questioned how armed attackers reached the area, killed civilians, and escaped. He asked who was responsible for the security breach and said that before questioning the state, the Centre must answer for the lapse. He demanded that the Union Home Minister, the BSF Director General, and the Intelligence Bureau Chief resign over the incident.
