Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
Abhishek Banerjee on Friday announced a series of development promises while addressing a public meeting in Raidigri, stating that Mathurapur would be made a separate subdivision. The Trinamool Congress leader said the move aims to improve administrative efficiency and bring governance closer to the people in the region.
During his address, Banerjee also promised the introduction of a direct bus service connecting Raidigri to Digha. He assured that the service would be launched immediately after the election results are declared, highlighting it as a step towards improving connectivity and easing travel for residents of the area.
Alongside development announcements, Banerjee sharply criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party, alleging that inflation has risen significantly under its rule. He claimed that the increasing cost of living has placed a burden on common people, making price rise a central issue in the ongoing election campaign.
