Abhishek Banerjee to lead 2-month PR campaign for WB Panchayat polls

Trinamool All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is set to embark on a two-month public relations tour across West Bengal ahead of the upcoming Panchayat elections in the state. The tour will commence from Coochbehar, where Banerjee is scheduled to arrive on Monday at around 4.30 pm. He will visit the Madan Mohan Temple in Cooch Behar to offer prayers and seek blessings for the tour.

During his visit, Banerjee will participate in several public meetings and programs, starting with his day-long program on Tuesday, April 25. He will meet with the families of those killed in BSF firing and attend public meetings at various locations, including Sahebganj football ground, Sitai Gonsaimari High School, and Sheetlakuchi Panchayat Samiti.

Trinamool Congress has formed a committee to select election candidates through a plebiscite, and a referendum will be held at the Banarhat Football Ground to finalize the names of candidates selected by the local leader and representative of Trinamool Congress.

Abhishek Banerjee has announced a new program, 'Trinamool Janjwar,' as part of the Panchayat elections campaign. He will travel across the state for 60 days, with a secret poll to be conducted to gather the opinions of rural Bengal residents about the candidates in their areas. The State Election Committee will then seal these candidates.
