Protests are continuing in Kolkata against the police custody of Abhishek Banerjee and other leaders during the Trinamool protest against the central government in Delhi on October 2 and 3. On Wednesday, protests were held by the party across the state. After this, there is a campaign today at Raj Bhawan under the leadership of Abhishek Banerjee.
In the statement issued by Trinamool Congress, it has been said that there will be a gathering of Trinamool leaders near Rabindra Sadan around 2:30 pm. From there, the rally will take place under the leadership of Abhishek Banerjee via Park Street, Rani Rasmani Avenue and will end near Raj Bhawan.
However, the Governor is not at Raj Bhavan today and has reached Bagdogra to take stock of the situation in flood-affected North Bengal. Here, Abhishek Banerjee, who is leading the Raj Bhavan campaign of Trinamool Congress will handover a letter to Raj Bhavan. Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj of the Central Government have been addressed in this letter, and a demand has been made to make the payment to Bengal as soon as possible.
It is noteworthy that Trinamool had started the protest against the Center from Rajghat in Delhi on Tuesday. The party leaders there were detained during the protest at Krishi Bhawan, against which Trinamool's protest continues in Kolkata.
