Abhishek Banerjee's meeting with BJP MP Soumitra sparks intense speculations

Speculations have surged following a meeting between Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee and BJP MP Soumitra Khan in Delhi.

Khan, the MP from Vishnupur in Bankura, has been openly critical of his party leaders since the assembly elections, leading to rumors of a possible return to Trinamool Congress. He has publicly voiced his opposition to several decisions made by the state BJP, including criticisms directed at Dilip Ghosh and Shubhendu Adhikari.

Notably, Khan had previously left Trinamool and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019, alongside Shubhendu Adhikari.
