Bengal experienced a notable decrease in cold temperatures since Monday morning, a trend that has persisted into Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has now issued a forecast, predicting the likelihood of rain in various districts of Bengal for three consecutive days starting today.
The weather office anticipates the formation of a high-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday leading to rainfall in Benagal From 30th January to 2nd February rains are expected in South Bengal. Rains are expected in East Burdwan, Nadia, North 24 Parganas on Tuesday. Besides, light to moderate rainfall will occur in two 24 Parganas, Nadia, Murshidabad, Birbhum and other districts on 31st. Light rain is also likely in Kolkata. This, in turn, can cause damage to winter vegetable cultivation and other crops, including mustard and paddy.
