Shweta Khan, popularly known as 'Phooltusi', who was recently arrested for allegedly running a pornographic video racket under the guise of an event management business, was produced before the Howrah court on Thursday. But outside the courtroom, she was met with raw public fury.
As female police officers escorted Shweta towards the court under tight security, a dramatic moment unfolded. A woman from the crowd managed to breach the police security cordon and delivered a sharp slap across Shweta’s face. The incident caused a brief commotion before the police quickly brought the situation under control.
Eyewitnesses say the attacker was visibly furious and shouted slogans against Shweta. The woman was quickly pulled away by the police, but the slap became the most talked-about moment of the day. Shweta Khan was later taken into court safely and further proceedings were held behind closed doors. Police officials are now reviewing security lapses during the escort.
