Adhir Ranjan questions Amit Shah on PoK, says Nehru not as knowledgeable; Congress targets Home Minister

In the aftermath of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's assertion that Jawaharlal Nehru's handling of the Kashmir issue was a mistake, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary challenged Shah during the winter session of Parliament. Ranjan sarcastically remarked that Nehru might not have been as knowledgeable as Amit Shah.

The Congress leader, questioning Shah's stance on PoK, stated, "Since whatever you do is right, then when are you taking back PoK?" The remark comes as tensions rise between the ruling party and the opposition over the Kashmir issue, with Amit Shah emphasizing the development of a new Kashmir under PM Modi's leadership.

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has taken a swipe at Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the winter session of Parliament, responding to Shah's recent criticism of Nehru's approach to the Kashmir issue. Ranjan questioned Shah's assertion, suggesting that Nehru may not have possessed the same level of knowledge.

Adhir Ranjan's pointed query aimed at Shah involved the timeline for bringing back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Congress leader emphasized the need for careful consideration of Amit Shah's decisions and asked when PoK would be reclaimed by India.

The verbal exchange adds fuel to the ongoing discourse between the Congress and the ruling party regarding the abrogation of Article 370 and the developments in Jammu and Kashmir. Amit Shah, in response to criticism, reiterated that PoK remains an integral part of India, and full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir will be reinstated in due course.
