Former Congress MP Adhir Chowdhury, reacting to being given a clean chit in the Commonwealth scam, said the BJP tarnished the image of the then Congress government by raising noise over so-called scams like the coal scam, 2G, and Commonwealth, which helped the party come to power. After assuming office, the BJP promised to bring back black money and distribute it among the people. Chowdhury also highlighted the RSS's significant role in the Anna movement. He stated that after years of ruling, these allegations have proven to be baseless, and the government should accept its mistakes.
