Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of hypocrisy regarding the fake voter list controversy, stating that it was Congress that first raised the issue. He expressed surprise that TMC, under whose administration the issue surfaced, is now blaming the Election Commission for the discrepancies. Chowdhury questioned the position of TMC supremo during the Panchayat and Lok Sabha elections, pointing out that the party did not address the issue when it arose under their governance. The Congress leader urged the TMC to focus on electoral transparency instead of shifting blame to external institutions.
