A public holiday has been declared in all government offices or industrial undertakings and public banks in Ramgarh on February 27, the day of polling for Ramgarh polls.
The announcement in this regard was mainly issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language.
Following instructions received from the Chief Electoral Officer regarding the Ramgarh Vidhan Sabha by-election, the District Electoral Officer with Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra has fixed 48 hours before the end of the polls, from 5:00 PM on February 25 as a dry day.
Additionally, a dry day has also been declared for the entire district until 5:00 pm on the census day, March 2. During this time no alcohol containing spirits, intoxicating liquors or other substances of a similar nature shall be sold, dispensed or distributed in any hotel, restaurant, bar, shop or any other private or public place.
Further, during this period, all liquor stores, foreign liquor, composite liquor, bars and restaurants, clubs, Pali Hills Breweries Pvt Ltd canteen outlets, wholesale outlets and retail military canteens will remain completely closed.
