The President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, has stirred controversy by questioning the prestige of Ramlala in the upcoming Ram Temple in Ayodhya, particularly in the context of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration scheduled for January 22. Rahmani asserts that this move amounts to a "murder of justice and secularism." He further challenges the Supreme Court's decision, claiming there is no evidence supporting the belief that Lord Ram was born at the designated site.
"In his statement issued on the letter head of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, he has said, “What is happening in Ayodhya is based on sheer cruelty. Because the Supreme Court has accepted that there was no temple beneath it, which was demolished and a mosque was built.” And there is no evidence that Shri Ramchandraji was born at that particular place.
The AIMPLB President deems the special interest of the government and ministers in the Ram Temple's construction, coupled with its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as an affront to justice and secular values.
