Air India announced on Friday the cancellation of eight flights, comprising four international and four domestic services. The airline attributed these disruptions to "enhanced maintenance and operational reasons," along with factors such as airspace restrictions and inclement weather. This follows an earlier announcement on Thursday regarding a reduction in international flights and temporary suspensions on three routes from June 21 to July 15, 2025.
The affected international routes include AI906 from Dubai to Chennai, AI308 from Delhi to Melbourne, AI309 from Melbourne to Delhi, and AI2204 from Dubai to Hyderabad. Domestically, the cancelled flights are AI874 from Pune to Delhi, AI456 from Ahmedabad to Delhi, AI-2872 from Hyderabad to Mumbai, and AI571 from Chennai to Mumbai.
"We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers. Our colleagues on ground are making alternative arrangements for them to fly to their respective destinations at the earliest," read a statement from the airline. It further emphasized that "Full refunds on cancellation or complimentary rescheduling has been offered to passengers."
The airline has advised all passengers to regularly check their flight status on its official website, http://airindia.com/in/en/manage/flight-status.html, for the latest updates. Additionally, passengers can contact Air India's customer care numbers at 011 69329333 or 011 69329999 for further assistance and information regarding their bookings.
