Air India extends suspension of Tel Aviv flights amid Israel-Hamas conflict

Air India has decided to extend the suspension of its regular flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 18, due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The full-service carrier typically operates five weekly scheduled flights to Tel Aviv but had initially suspended services until October 14. An airline official confirmed the extension, stating that scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv would remain suspended until October 18. However, Air India will continue to operate chartered flights to repatriate Indian citizens based on their requirements.

Normally, Air India offers five weekly flights to Tel Aviv from the national capital, with services available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The extension of the suspension comes in response to the intensification of hostilities in the region, marked by unprecedented attacks on Israeli cities by Hamas, leading Israel to launch a substantial counter-offensive.
