Air India flight fails to land properly, takes off-again with ex-Deputy CM of Punjab onboard

Former Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa had a narrow escape after an Air India flight from Delhi to Jaipur was forced to abort its landing due to an unstable approach. Passengers described tense moments as the aircraft descended towards the runway and suddenly pulled up, with the pilot informing them that a “go-around” was required for safety.

The aircraft circled the airspace for nearly ten minutes before safely landing on the second attempt. Randhawa, currently AICC in-charge for Rajasthan, continued with his scheduled engagements after arrival. The incident has drawn attention to operational stability in domestic flights, with the DGCA expected to review flight data logs as per aviation protocol.
