Ajit doval appointed NSA for 3rd time, PK Mishra to stay Secretary to PM

Ajit Doval has been reappointed as the National Security Advisor (NSA) and PK Mishra as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, effective from June 10. The government announced these appointments today, underscoring their significant roles within the administration.

According to official statements, the terms of Mr. Doval and Mr. Mishra are "co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier." This indicates that they will remain in their respective positions as long as Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister or until any new orders are issued.

Both Doval and Mishra will hold the rank of a cabinet minister during their term, reflecting their high standing in the government. This rank in the table of precedence underscores the importance of their roles.

Additionally, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the reappointment of Amit Khare and Tarun Kapoor as advisors to the Prime Minister in the Prime Minister's Office for a period of two years, starting from June 10. They will serve in the rank and scale equivalent to the Secretary to the Government of India.
