SP President Akhilesh Yadav visited Sitapur jail to meet senior leader Azam Khan, expressing concern over what he perceives as injustice by the BJP government towards Khan and his family. Addressing the media after the meeting, Yadav condemned the alleged harassment faced by Khan's family, labeling it as inhumane. He asserted his confidence in Khan receiving justice, stating, "Times change. Time is very powerful. There will be justice for Azam Khan." Yadav criticized the BJP for what he termed as a record of fabricating false cases, asserting that truth ultimately prevails.
Highlighting the issue of electoral bonds, Yadav claimed that the truth about the BJP has been revealed through this mechanism, emphasizing the potential of the PDA to defeat the NDA in the upcoming elections. Yadav's visit to Khan in jail is speculated to have implications for the Lok Sabha elections, with suggestions that approval for the Rampur candidate will be contingent upon Khan's consent.
