There have been allegations of rigging in the appointment of the National Defense Volunteer Force (NDF) in West Bengal. A public interest litigation has been filed in the Calcutta High Court on Monday regarding this.
BJP MLA Ambika Roy has filed this petition. He has alleged that there has been massive rigging in NDF appointments for more than a decade. In this, an appointment has been made by forgery of the death certificate, voter card and Aadhaar card. That is, by making a fake death certificate of the person who is in the job, someone else has been appointed in his place on the basis of compassion.
In this regard, State NDF Commandant Kunal Aggarwal said that he has recently joined this post and he has no information regarding this. The High Court has accepted the petition in this regard and there will be a hearing on this soon.
It is alleged that in 2020, the then Superintendent of Police of Paschim Medinipur wrote a letter to the then Director of NDF claiming that a young woman had introduced herself as the daughter of an employee named Dhitti Bhanu and secured a job. She has got a job after Bhanu's death but she is not actually his daughter.
Similarly, many other complaints had come up which were not given much importance later. Now after the petition is filed in the High Court, the investigation has started regarding this.
