In a distressing incident in Rajasthan's Dausa district, a minor girl was allegedly raped by sub-inspector Bhupendra Singh in the Lalsot area. The assault, occurring in Singh's room during the afternoon, has led to the arrest of the accused, who is currently undergoing interrogation, according to ASP Ramchandra Singh Nehra. Dausa SP Vandita Rana highlighted the need for a medical examination and family reports to determine the exact age of the survivor, estimated to be around four to five years.
The local community expressed its outrage by gathering in large numbers at the Rahuwas police station, where slogans were raised against the police. BJP MP Kirodi Lal Meena, present at the scene, conveyed the prevailing anger among the people and emphasized the urgent need for justice for the innocent child.
Meena also criticized the police conduct, linking it to perceived incompetence within the Ashok Gehlot government and underscoring the persistence of such incidents even during sensitive occasions like elections.
