Alliance Air initiates extra flights to Lakshadweep amid increasing travel demands

Following the viral photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Lakshadweep, there has been a notable spike in Google searches and an increased interest in travel to the archipelago. Several travel agencies are witnessing a surge in queries, and air tickets to Lakshadweep have been completely sold out until March 2024.

In response to the heightened demand and to facilitate passengers wanting to travel to Lakshadweep amid the ongoing India-Maldives dispute, Alliance Air, the sole airline serving the archipelago, has announced additional flights. The airline, which typically operates a 70-seater aircraft to the island daily, is running at full capacity. The additional flights, set to operate on Sundays and Wednesdays, aim to accommodate the surge in travel interest and provide more opportunities for people to visit the picturesque island.
