Amar Prakash Dwivedi takes over as General Manager of Eastern Railway

Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi from Indian Railway Service Engineers, IRSE of 1987 batch has taken charge as General Manager of Eastern Railway.

Earlier Mr. Dwivedi was the Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) of East Coast Railway. After passing B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1987, Mr. Dwivedi started his career in Eastern Railway and held various posts like Chief Engineer (Construction) in South Eastern Railway and Kolkata Metro Railway. He has also worked as Executive Director/Public Sector Units (PSU) in Railway Board. He has also taken training in high speed transport from France.

While serving as Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) at East Coast Railway, Mr. Dwivedi has achieved a record breaking achievement in terms of new line launch and doubling works, more than double the previous highest achievement of East Coast Railway. is also more.

During his tenure as Executive Director/PSU/Railway Board, Mr. Dwivedi has spearheaded IPOs of Railway PSUs like IRCTC, IRCON, RITES and RVNL to set a new growth path for these public sector units. Mr. Dwivedi is also a recipient of Honorable Railway Minister level award for his outstanding performance.
