NCP leader Baba Siddique shot multiple times and dies in Mumbai Hospital
In a harrowing incident in Uttar Pradesh, a woman was allegedly molested inside an ambulance while accompanying her husband to a hospital.
The assault took place on August 30 in Siddharthnagar district, where ambulance workers reportedly removed the oxygen support from the woman's husband and threw both of them out of the vehicle. Tragically, her husband later died during treatment at Gorakhpur Medical College.
The woman had initially taken her husband, Harish, to Basti Medical College after his condition worsened. Following a referral to a different hospital, and incapable of paying the fees at a private facility, she attempted to return home for further treatment.
During the journey, the ambulance driver and an aide allegedly forced her to sit in the front seat and subjected her to sexual harassment. When she protested, they stopped her husband's oxygen supply, resulting in both of them being expelled from the ambulance.
The accused also allegedly stole her jewellery. The husband sustained injuries, and his condition deteriorated further. He was then taken to Gorakhpur Medical College hospital, after a complaint was filed but died during the process.
The victim alleged that the police didn't attempt to arrest the accused immediately and asked her to file a written complaint at Lucknow's Ghazipur police station. Lucknow police station has confirmed that an FIR has been registered at Ghazipur police station and investigation is being done.
