Booth Level Officers (BLOs), who have been staging a sit-in protest outside the Election Commission office for nearly 106 days against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, joined Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s protest in Dharmatala on Friday. The BLOs have been consistently raising concerns over the functioning and working style of the Election Commission during their prolonged demonstration.
Amid this ongoing agitation, the BLOs organised a protest rally from outside the Election Commission office and marched to Dharmatala to join the Chief Minister’s sit-in protest against the SIR process. Their participation added to the growing political mobilisation surrounding the issue.
