Reconstruction of crime scene in Kasba as probe intensifies in Kolkata college student rape case
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has responded sharply to Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's recent remarks regarding Article 370. Asif suggested that the article could be reinstated in Jammu and Kashmir if the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance comes to power. Shah condemned this alignment, stating that Congress shares intentions with India’s “estranged neighbor.”
Shah accused Congress MP Rahul Gandhi of siding with anti-India forces, asserting that this has hurt national sentiments. He remarked, “The tune of Rahul Gandhi's Congress Party and Pakistan has always been the same,” pointing to instances where Gandhi has questioned military actions, which he claims undermine the Indian Army's credibility.
BJP leader Amit Malviya echoed Shah's sentiments, stating that Congress consistently appears to support India's adversaries. He noted that Pakistan, labeled a terrorist state, backs the Congress-NC stance on Kashmir, raising alarms about the implications for national security.
Amit Shah also criticized Congress and NC for allegedly harboring pro-terror sentiments. He claimed that if they gained power, they would release imprisoned terrorists, calling for vigilance among voters. Shah vowed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, terrorism would not thrive in India, emphasizing the irreversible nature of Article 370's abrogation.
