Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
With the West Bengal Assembly elections approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party has sharpened its campaign strategy, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah set to release a detailed “charge sheet” against the All India Trinamool Congress government the day after tomorrow, on March 28. The document, described as a “black paper,” will outline alleged failures of the administration led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and will be unveiled in Kolkata.
The move is part of a broader electoral push by the BJP to consolidate its position in the state. Shortly after the release of the charge sheet, the party is expected to unveil its election manifesto, or “Sankalp Patra,” around April 3 or 4, setting the tone for its campaign narrative and policy promises ahead of the polls.
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has projected a strong performance for the party, claiming that it will secure more than 177 seats in the upcoming elections. His statement has drawn attention as it marks a shift from the party’s earlier “200 plus” target, sparking discussions in political circles over revised expectations and strategy.
The BJP has also been actively working to expand its grassroots presence, with reports of several families and individuals from opposition parties joining its ranks in parts of the state. These developments underline the party’s intensified efforts to strengthen its organisational base as it prepares for a high-stakes electoral contest.
