Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was injured on the sets of his upcoming film Project K in Hyderabad while shooting an action sequence, on Tuesday thanked his supporters for their concern and prayers.
In a blog post on Sunday, the 80-year-old movie icon shared that he had a “crack of rib cartilage” and a “torn muscle in his right rib cage.”
“Gratitude and love forever… for your concern and wishes… your prayers are medicine… I rest and improve with your prayers (sic),” Bachchan tweeted.
Before flying back to Mumbai, Bachchan told him that the doctor at the hospital in Hyderabad, where he underwent a CT scan, had advised him to rest.
In the same post, the actor, whose last theatrical release was the 2022 blockbuster Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, said he was in pain but “a little mobile for all essential activities”.
“… Yes painful… when moving and breathing… said it will take a few weeks to get back to normal… some medicine is also for pain… (sic)” Filming for Nag Ashwin's K Project and other commitments Bachchan is involved in are suspended, he added. The film will hit the screens on January 12, 2024, also starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
Because of the injury, Bachchan also had to cancel his Sunday meeting with fans who lined up outside his Juhu Jalsa bungalow.
