A dissatisfied Ola Electric customer allegedly set fire to a showroom in Kalaburagi, North Karnataka, after his electric scooter was not repaired, according to a police investigation.
The incident occurred when 26-year-old Mohammad Nadeem reportedly bought petrol and set the showroom ablaze on Tuesday. Nadeem had purchased an Ola scooter in August, but after frequent issues and repeated visits for repairs, the showroom staff failed to address the problems. Frustrated, he poured petrol on the showroom and ignited the fire.
The police have taken Nadeem into custody for interrogation. Six scooters were gutted in the fire, but no casualties were reported as the shop was closed at the time. Ola has not yet commented on the incident.
