A high-speed app bike lost control and overturned on Maa Flyover, leaving the rider and passenger critically injured. The accident occurred when Arita Bharati, a young woman traveling from Domjur, Howrah, to TCS for a job exam, was on the bike. Witnesses reported that the bike was moving at high speed before it skidded and flipped. The impact severely damaged the bike’s front portion, and Arita’s helmet was flung off the flyover.
Emergency responders shifted the Rapido rider to SSKM Hospital with critical injuries, while Arita was taken to a private hospital in Ruby. Traffic movement on Maa Flyover was briefly affected following the crash. Police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
