App cab drivers take out rally from Entally to Esplanade, demand higher fares and govt regulation

The Kolkata Ola Uber App Cab Operators and Drivers Association organized a grand procession today, which started from Moulali Ramlila Park and proceeded to Dharmatala. According to the Aggregator Act, the state government will announce the fares for app cabs every year. This year, the demand is to set the minimum fare at ₹25 per kilometer for non-AC cabs and ₹30 per kilometer for AC cabs. Additionally, the demand for bike taxi fares is ₹12 per kilometer.
