Sharing the news via social media, the 38-year-old vocalist expressed deep gratitude to his listeners for their decade-long support, stating that he will no longer accept any new assignments as a playback vocalist for films. This unexpected announcement marks the conclusion of a phenomenal journey that redefined the sound of modern Bollywood romance and heartbreak.
Despite the finality of his decision regarding film projects, Singh assured his followers that his connection with music remains intact. He clarified that he intends to honor his existing pending commitments, meaning several of his recorded tracks will still release throughout 2026. Emphasizing his desire for growth, he described himself as a "small little artist" who wishes to focus on learning more and creating music independently. He stated, “Just to be clear, I won’t stop making music,” hinting at a future dedicated to non-film, independent artistic ventures.
