In a distressing development, the body of a young woman has been discovered buried in a corn field in Bharna village of Beldaur police station area in Khagaria district, Bihar. Identified as Ravita Kumari, a 24-year-old resident of Murasi village, the woman had gone missing a day earlier, prompting concern and panic in the locality. Upon receiving information about the incident, local authorities swiftly took possession of the body and initiated an investigation into the matter. The deceased's maternal family had lodged a missing report with the police station following her disappearance on Wednesday, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
According to the maternal relatives of the deceased, Ravita Kumari had entered into a love marriage with Durlab Sada, a resident of Bharna village, in February 2023. Notably, the couple had a six-month-old son. However, the woman's in-laws are currently absconding from their residence. Parendra Kumar, the incharge of Beldaur police station, affirmed that the police are actively investigating the case and await the filing of an official application by the deceased's family to register an FIR and initiate further action.
