Class 7 girl dies mysteriously in Saltlake BC block; police suspects suicide, family calls 'foul play'

A seventh-grade student was found dead at Salt Lake's BC Block. As per reports,  the student was found bleeding from beneath her government residence. Rushed to a private hospital, she was tragically declared dead by doctors, leaving her family in shock and disbelief. While initial police speculation points towards a possible suicide attempt from the fourth-floor roof, her family has vehemently rejected this theory, filing a complaint that claims she could not have taken her own life.

The incident occurred on June 29, when she was discovered in a bloody state in the basement of the government residence. Police from the Uttar Bidhan Nagar police station have launched an investigation into the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death. The body has been sent to the Hospital for an autopsy, and the exact cause of death is pending the initial report.

The deceased's family has provided details that challenge the suicide theory. Her father is a retired DI from the education department, and her mother is a science teacher. On the day of the incident, the student had gone for a walk with her mother and even shared a light snack of muri and singara with her just 30 minutes before the tragic discovery. Her father had briefly stepped out to the market during this time. The family insists that such an incident happening within such a short, seemingly normal timeframe makes suicide incomprehensible.

The Uttar Bidhan Nagar Police Station has registered a complaint from the family, taking their assertions of foul play seriously. The investigation is reportedly facing some delays due to the absence of CCTV footage in the immediate vicinity. However, police have been diligently collecting surrounding information and evidence to piece together the events leading to the death.

As part of their ongoing probe, authorities have already confiscated the student's phone and diary. These personal belongings are crucial for understanding her state of mind and any potential factors that might shed light on the incident. The police hope that analyzing the contents of these items will provide vital clues.
