West Bengal Minister of State for Tribal Development and Water Resources Investigation & Development Joel Murmu personally transported an unconscious young man to Bulbulchandi Rural Hospital after finding him lying beside a road near Habibpur in Malda district on Wednesday. The minister ensured that the youth was admitted to the hospital and arranged for his treatment after noticing his critical condition while travelling to a meeting at the district administrative building.
According to available information, Murmu was travelling from the Habibpur police station area when he spotted the young man lying unconscious near a kerosene depot along the Malda–Nalagola State Highway. The minister immediately stopped his convoy, lifted the youth from the roadside and placed him in his official vehicle before taking him directly to Bulbulchandi Rural Hospital for medical attention.
After reaching the hospital, Murmu personally spoke with doctors and ensured that the youth received treatment. Efforts are currently underway to establish the identity of the young man and determine the circumstances that led to his condition. Local residents took note of the incident after the minister's intervention brought the youth to the hospital for care.
