Abhijeet Dipke takes break from Jantar-Mantar protest, cites health issues
A 21-year-old nurse, identified as Anushree Mal, was found dead inside a private hospital in Siuri on Thursday morning after completing a night shift. The deceased had reported for her shift at around 8 PM on Wednesday. Hospital staff became suspicious when cabin number three remained locked for an extended period, and upon breaking open the door, they discovered her body hanging inside.
Following the discovery, relatives of the deceased vandalized the nursing home premises and allegedly harassed hospital staff members. Personnel from the Siuri police station promptly arrived at the scene to restore order, recovered the body, and dispatched it for an official autopsy. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Investigators have secured CCTV footage from the hospital corridors showing the nurse entering the cabin room during her shift. Police are currently evaluating whether anyone else entered the room and are probing all angles, including potential homicide as well as suicide motives. Further details are expected once the preliminary post-mortem report is made available.
