Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, shared a message from her incarcerated husband to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and the people of Delhi. Quoting the Delhi CM, Sunita Kejriwal conveyed his resolve stating, "No prison can keep me inside, and I will come out and fulfil my promises." Arvind Kejriwal urged AAP workers to refrain from harboring animosity towards BJP members due to his arrest, emphasizing, "Don't hate BJP people due to this. They are our brothers and sisters. I will come back soon."
In a video statement, Sunita Kejriwal reaffirmed her husband's commitment to serving the country, quoting him saying, "Whether I am inside the jail or not, I will continue to serve the country. My entire life is dedicated to the country." She further addressed the concerns of Delhi's women, assuring them of Arvind Kejriwal's imminent release, stating, "There is no jail that can keep him behind bars for long. I will come out soon and keep my promise." Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case has sparked controversy, with the AAP labeling it as a "murder of democracy," while the BJP demands his resignation from the post of Delhi's chief minister, asserting that he will govern from jail.
