The assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu will be conducted in a single phase, with the counting of votes scheduled for May 4. The polling schedule has been announced with different voting dates across the four regions, while the result declaration will take place on the same day.
Polling in Assam will be held on April 9, while voters in Kerala will also cast their ballots on April 9. Puducherry will go to the polls on the same day, making it one of the three regions voting simultaneously during the election schedule.
Tamil Nadu, however, will have its polling later in the month. Voters in the state will head to the booths on April 23 to elect their representatives for the state assembly.
Election authorities have planned the voting in a single phase across all four regions to streamline the process. After polling concludes, the counting of votes for Assam, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu will be carried out on May 4.
