Disruption in metro services between Dumdum and Dakshineswar; normal services resume after 2 hours
Intense and continuous rainfall has thrown the normal life of Mumbai a complete chaos. The city that never sleeps has come to a standstill since Monday morning so much so that it had reduced the visibility.
This has massively affected flight operations as at least 50 flights scheduled to land in Mumbai have been either canceled or diverted to various locations, including Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Indore.
As per the airport authorities, priority is being given to arrivals, and consequential changes were made to accommodate diverted flights, leading to delayed departures.
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) issued an advisory for the passengers, advising them to check their flight status with their respective airlines and leave for the airport a little earlier.
