At least 8 trains cancelled in Ranchi division from 29th April to 6th May | Check List

Rail passengers, especially those traveling through the Ranchi division, must brace for inconvenience in the first week of May. The South East Central Railway (SECR) has announced non-interlocking work at Gondia Railway Station under the Nagpur division, leading to major traffic and power blocks. This work is part of a scheduled infrastructure upgrade, but its ripple effect will disrupt the schedules of many long-distance trains.

As a result, several trains operating between Telangana, Bihar, Goa, Jharkhand, Gujarat, and West Bengal will be cancelled on specific dates. The cancellations span from 29th April to 6th May 2025, affecting passengers from key cities such as Hyderabad, Raxaul, Charlapalli, Darbhanga, Vasco da Gama, Jasidih, Malda Town, and Surat.

Hyderabad – Raxaul Express will be cancelled from Hyderabad on 1st May, and the return Raxaul – Hyderabad Express on 4th May. Similarly, Charlapalli – Darbhanga Express will not run on 29th April and 3rd May, and the Darbhanga – Charlapalli Express will be off the tracks on 2nd and 6th May.

Goa-bound and Bihar-bound travelers should note that the Vasco da Gama – Jasidih Express is cancelled on 2nd May, with its return journey on 5th May. Additionally, the Malda Town – Surat Express will not run on 3rd May, while the Surat – Malda Town Express will be cancelled on 5th May.

This disruption may cause issues for passengers planning travel during the peak summer window and upcoming holiday season. Authorities have urged passengers to check train schedules before planning their journey and to explore alternative options during this period.
