Bad weather forces diversion of 20 flights at Delhi airport: official report

Adverse weather conditions led to the diversion of 20 flights at Delhi's airport on a Saturday morning, as confirmed by an official statement. The diversions occurred between 0730 and 1030 hours, impacting flights destined for Jaipur, Amritsar, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh.

In response to the challenging weather conditions, low visibility procedures were implemented at the airport, as highlighted in a post on X around 0810 hours.A total of 20 flights faced diversions from Delhi airport on a Saturday morning due to unfavorable weather conditions, according to an official report.

The diversions, occurring between 0730 and 1030 hours, led flights to be redirected to Jaipur, Amritsar, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh. Specifically, 13 flights were diverted to Jaipur, four to Amritsar, and one each to Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh. In response to the challenging weather, Delhi airport initiated low visibility procedures, as communicated in a post on X around 0810 hours.
