Singer-rapper Badshah’s Chandigarh-based nightclub, SAGO By Badshah, has been sealed by the Chandigarh administration over alleged building bylaw violations and other irregularities. The establishment, located in Sector 26, was sealed after authorities identified multiple instances of alleged non-compliance during inspections and reviews.
According to officials, the administration’s enforcement wing carried out the action following complaints and allegations related to regulatory violations. Authorities had earlier issued notices to the club and sought explanations regarding the alleged irregularities before proceeding with the sealing operation.
The action forms part of an ongoing drive against nightlife establishments in Chandigarh’s Sector 26. Officials said similar action has recently been taken against other discos and clubs in the area after inspections revealed alleged violations of prescribed norms and regulations.
Police sources stated that several deficiencies were identified during inspections of the premises. Notices have also reportedly been served to a number of other establishments in the locality, although SAGO is among the venues against which sealing action has been implemented so far.
The club, also known as SAGO Spice Symphony, was launched in 2023 as part of a group of hospitality ventures in Sector 26. Authorities said further action will depend on the outcome of ongoing reviews and compliance assessments. Badshah has not issued any public statement regarding the sealing of the establishment.
