Security agencies have launched an investigation after two balloons, reportedly originating from Pakistan, were recovered in a village in Akhnoor. The incident was reported from Village Gunara in the Nili Nallah area, falling under the jurisdiction of Khour Police Station.
According to officials, the balloons were found carrying a Pakistani mobile phone number and a printed image resembling a scanner code. The unusual contents immediately raised suspicion, prompting local residents to inform the authorities. Along with the balloons, Pakistani currency notes and United States dollar notes were also recovered from the spot. Police teams reached the location soon after receiving the information and secured all the materials found at the site.
Authorities have taken the balloons and recovered items into custody and initiated a probe to ascertain their origin and intended purpose. Further investigation is underway to determine whether the incident has any security implications.
