Regional organization Bangla Pokkho staged a protest in the New Town area on Tuesday targeting the Chief Election Commissioner over alleged irregularities in the voter list revision process. Members of the group gathered outside the Westin Hotel and raised slogans against the Election Commission, accusing it of removing the names of legitimate Bengali voters from the electoral rolls.
Protesters claimed that the ongoing voter list revision is unfairly affecting genuine voters and demanded that the Election Commission ensure that no valid voter is excluded. The demonstration briefly drew attention in the area as members of the organization voiced their objections and called for corrective action regarding the alleged deletions.
