Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A Bangladeshi youth named Jibon Roy, a resident of Rangpur district in Bangladesh, was arrested at the India-Bangladesh border in Siliguri’s Phulbari area. He was found hiding under a truck that had returned from Bangladesh and was heading towards Bhutan. The arrest was made by the Border Security Force (BSF) during a routine check at the border checkpoint.
According to officials, the truck was carrying stones to Bhutan and had entered India from Bangladesh when the BSF conducted a search. During the inspection, Jibon Roy was found concealed underneath the vehicle. He was immediately detained by the BSF at the spot. The truck bore a Bhutanese registration number.
The BSF later handed over the youth to the New Jalpaiguri police station for further investigation. The purpose of his entry, route taken, and any possible network or handler involved are yet to be ascertained. Security forces continue to monitor the area for similar incidents along the international border.
