BJP gherao 'New TMC' MLA Sandipan Saha's house in Entally, protest over 'cut money'
The Bharatiya Janata Party announced its new West Bengal state executive, appointing office bearers, department heads and morcha presidents with immediate effect. The organisational reshuffle was approved by BJP national president J.P. Nadda and formally issued by state president Samik Bhattacharya.
A total of 12 leaders, including Manoj Tigga, Jagannath Chattopadhyay, Tapas Roy and Union minister Nisith Pramanik, have been appointed as vice presidents of the state unit. Smt. Locket Chatterjee is among the five leaders named as state general secretaries, along with Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato, Soumitra Khan, Bapi Goswami and Smt. Shashi Agnihotri.
Devjit Sarkar has been appointed as the chief spokesperson of the Bengal BJP, while Bimal Sankar Nanda has been named media convenor. Chandrashekhar Basutia has been appointed as media co-convenor. The party also named 12 state secretaries as part of the organisational overhaul.
Ashish Bapat has been appointed as state treasurer, with Praveen Agarwal and Vidyasagar Mantri named as joint treasurers. Pranoy Roy has been appointed office secretary, while Pratyush Mandal has been named joint office secretary.
The BJP also announced the appointment of state morcha presidents. Dr Indranil Khan has been named Yuva Morcha president, Phalguni Patra as Mahila Morcha president, Rajib Bhowmick as Kisan Morcha president, Subhendu Sarkar (Bula) as OBC Morcha president, Sujit Biswas as SC Morcha president, Khagen Murmu as ST Morcha president, and Ali Husain as Minority Morcha president.
