Temperature fluctuations continue to grip West Bengal, with Kolkata experiencing a drop in the minimum temperature to 16.9 degrees Celsius, a slight decrease from the previous day's 17.4 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department's regional headquarters in Alipore issued a statement on Friday, indicating the likelihood of a further increase in cold from the coming week.
Although the maximum temperature in Kolkata decreased marginally from 26.6 to 26.4 degrees Celsius, other parts of the state, including Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, and Bankura, maintain temperatures between 14 to 24 degrees Celsius, providing a relatively milder experience.
Conversely, North Bengal regions such as Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong are still experiencing colder temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius.
