Manish Jain will now serve as the Principal Secretary of the North Bengal Development Department

In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the West Bengal government has announced the transfer of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The following officers have been reassigned to new roles:
Amit Roy Choudhary has been appointed as the Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department.
Sheeladitya Basu Roy will now serve as the Special Secretary of the PE-R Department.
Joyshi Das Gupta has been transferred to the role of Special Secretary of the Technical Education Department.
Ghulam Ansari has taken over as the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department.
Vinod Kumar is now the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department.
P B Salem will hold the additional charge as Secretary of Madrasa, while also being associated with the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
Saumya Purkait has been appointed as the Senior Special Secretary of the State Gazettes.
Manish Jain will now serve as the Principal Secretary of the North Bengal Development Department.
