West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently announced the date and time of the upcoming World Business Summit (BGBS). Before that, the state government wants to complete the work of three industrial corridors of the state.
On the instructions of the CM, a separate policy has already been made for the Industrial Corridor. The work of making the corridor has also progressed to a great extent. These three industrial corridors are Raghunathpur-Tajpur, Dankuni-Kalyani, and Dankuni-Kharagpur. After they are ready, the land around them will become very important for the industry at the time of the business summit. That's why the aim of the government will be to hand over the land around the corridor to the industry at the business summit.
According to the recently made new policy of the state government, setting up industry on that land as soon as possible will become the priority of the industrialists. If they are not able to set up industry soon, that land will be taken back. That's why this time's business summit is going to be organized focusing on this policy.
The state government still has about six months for the next industrial conference. Therefore, government officials are closely monitoring the construction of the corridor. Officials are also worried that any investor who comes to see the land cannot question the management of the state government. Therefore, in the next few months, the officials of the Industries Department are also thinking of adding new things to this corridor. So that the interest of investors remains after seeing all the new things.
For this, a plan is being prepared around the corridor. On taking land on both sides of these three corridors, the state government will provide all kinds of cooperation for the establishment of industries, this will also be highlighted in the industrial conference. Officials believe that not only investment will come into the state through these corridors, but two lakh jobs can be created in the state through these three corridors.
According to a state official, “Many companies have already shown interest in investing in these corridors. This investment is expected to more than double before the next industry conference. As a result, these corridors can give a big gift to investors from the state government in the upcoming industry and trade conference."
